JUST IN… Manchester United now want to sign ‘unbelievable’ Barcelona player in swap deal for Jadon Sancho who is wanted away by Erik Ten Hag

Manchester United are interested in Barcelona winger Raphinha and are considering signing him in a swap deal that would see Jadon Sancho move to the Camp Nou.

The Red Devils aren’t in a great place in the Premier League right now, while their European dream came to a heartbreaking end last week after they finished bottom of their Champions League group. New signings in January are a necessity, and Raphinha is a really interesting option.

Manchester United considering Jadon Sancho – Raphinha swap deal
It really does seem like Jadon Sancho‘s career at Manchester United is over, doesn’t it?

The Englishman fell out with Erik ten Hag after the defeat at Arsenal earlier this season, and he hasn’t made the squad since. He is banished from training with the group, and neither party is willing to budge.

Sancho is very likely to leave Manchester United in the January transfer window, but it doesn’t look like there is a club in Europe willing to sign him on a permanent deal next month.

Manchester United will have to be creative to get rid of him, and Spanish outlet Sport claim this week that the Red Devils are considering a swap deal that would see Sancho join Barcelona and Raphinha move to Old Trafford.

The ‘unbelievable‘ Brazilian was a star in the Premier League during his time at Leeds United. He impressed everybody back then, but he is struggling at Barcelona now, and there is a big chance he could leave.

Raphinha joined Barcelona in a £55 million deal last year (Sky Sports). The report claims the Catalans now value him at $100 million, which equates to £79 million.

That could mean Manchester United may have to add some cash along with Sancho to get this deal over the line in next month’s transfer window.

Raphinha is better than Manchester United star Antony
Manchester United signed Antony last year and the Brazilian came in with a lot of hype.

Many viewed Antony at the time as someone who would be Erik ten Hag’s main man at Old Trafford, but he has been really disappointing so far. Jaap Stam went as far as saying ‘he is not good enough‘ for United.

Raphinha, who is a left-footed right-winger himself, would be a huge upgrade on Antony. He is a lot more unpredictable with his runs, is proven in the Premier League and would guarantee so much more than Manchester United’s current right winger.

It is still early stages, but if Manchester United can pull this deal off, we think it would be a great move
