Man united striker problem is over as 29yr experience striker is set to join Man United on a 1yr deal, paperwork to be done tonight, announcement tomorrow morning

Manchester United are in talks with Bundesliga club Bayern Munich as they look to sign Cameroon international striker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting on loan until the end of the season, according to Les Bons Conceil Du Sports editor Seb Ecrivain Foot.

The Red Devils are unexpected to complete permanent deals this month due to Financial Fair Play (FFP) constraints, and they are now scouring the loan market for quality recruitment.

They have been keeping tabs on the situation of Choupo-Moting for some weeks now and are now expected to firm up their interest with an offer to both club and player.

The French reporter suggested in his earlier post on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) that the deal is expected to go through, and talks are progressing as Man United are desperate to bolster their attacking ranks.

Choupo-Moting has been out of favour at Bayern since Harry Kane joined them in the summer, which has seen him start just four of the 20 appearances he has made this season.

The 34-year-old has weighed in with three goals so far this term after bagging ten league goals in 19 league games last season.

He is not the long-term answer to the goalscoring woes at the Old Trafford club, but a short-term deal could benefit both parties.

The former Paris Saint-Germain striker has won two Ligue 1 titles and three Bundesliga titles over the last five campaigns, and he could prove to be a good loan signing after ending last season with 17 goals in 30 games across all competitions.

The 6ft 3in hitman is a decent finisher capable of being a menace to opposition defence due to his strength, dribbling and ability to hold on to the ball, and while Man United fans would fear he could become another Wout Weghorst, his desperation to prove himself in the Premier League after his Stoke City stint could see Choupo-Moting exceed expectations
