Manchester United determined to agree dream signing of £305,000 a week star – personal terms already agreed ahead of January move
Manchester United were interested in signing Jan Oblak to reinforce their goal keeping department in the summer but ended up luring Andre Onana.
The Cameroonian international has been highly inconsistent for the Red Devils since leaving Inter Milan and reports indicate, United are once again after Oblak.
According to Spanish source, Todo Fichajes, United tempted the Slovenian to move to Old Trafford, however, the proposals did not convince Atletico Madrid and he ended up staying.
Due to Onana’s weak performances, Man Utd are determined to finally complete the dream signing of Oblak, who may end up leaving the Rojiblancos.
The news source have mentioned that Athletic Bilbao’s Julen Agirrezabala is the shot stopper on the radar to replace the 30-year-old at the Wanda Metropolitano.
The former Benfica man’s current contract with the Colchernos will expire in the summer of 2028, he is the highest earning star and takes home around £305,000 a week.
Oblak is one of the best goal keepers in world football. In 310 appearances in the La Liga thus far, he has kept no fewer than 152 clean sheets (49%).
After serving Atletico Madrid for almost a decade, perhaps, it is time for a new challenge.
Man Utd need a world class star to sort the goal keeping department as they clearly made a mistake by replacing De Gea with Andre Onana.
