Manchester United midfielder offers himself to Barcelona ahead of January window after Gavi long sustained long term injury,Ten Hag have already given Him approval to leave and never return- Not Kobbie Mainoo

It is no secret that having lost Gavi for the remainder of the season, Barcelona are looking at the possibility of signing a new midfielder in January, finances permitting.

Having decided to use Gavi’s absence to register Vitor Roque, the Blaugrana would depend on generating income if they wish to sign a new midfielder come the winter window.

In that scenario, Tottenham Hotspur’s Giovani Lo Celso has been identified as the priority target, but it appears that new avenues could open up for the Catalan heavyweights.

Donny van de Beek offers himself to Barcelona
Indeed, as per SPORT, Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek has offered himself to Barcelona for the second half of the season, having fallen out of favour at Old Trafford.

Having joined the Red Devils in a deal worth €40 million, the Netherlands international has never got going at the Premier League club and is not a major part of Erik ten Hag’s plans.

Van de Beek has hardly played over the past six months or so and is eager to secure a move away from Manchester United.

As such, he has offered himself to Barcelona, with the coaching staff still eager to add a new midfielder for they believe that the season will be long and they can use added depth, as long as finances allow for it.

Barcelona have doubts
As per the report, Van de Beek is a player that has a very ‘Barcelona’ profile, but there are doubts about him within the club owing to the fact that he has not played regularly for months at Manchester United.

Furthermore, Juventus are interested in signing the Dutch midfielder and are in talks over a loan deal with a purchase option, hoping that he can hit the heights he showed at AFC Ajax.

It must be remembered that Barça had shown an interest in Van de Beek not long after they signed Frenkie de Jong from Ajax, but it did not pan out.

With the midfielder now offering himself to the club, it remains to be seen if the La Liga champions are willing to take a gamble on Van de Beek.
