Manchester United reportedly invited to sign free agent who loves Ten Hag’s training sessions
Manchester United are being offered the chance to sign winger Oussama Idrissi – a player who has previously featured under Erik ten Hag.
United are being linked with free agent wingers amid probs on the flanks for Ten Hag.
Antony is out of the picture for now, whilst it remains to be seen whether there is a way back for Jadon Sancho.
Rumours have now emerged about potential free agent additions with links surrounding Anwar El Ghazi this week, which have seemingly been played down.
There is another name in the mix though as agents seemingly try to tempt United into making a move.
Oussama Idrissi offered to Manchester United
90Min claim that United are looking into signing Oussama Idrissi having been offered the chance to sign him.
Idrissi is coming off the back of a decent season, scoring seven times in all competitions during a loan spell with Dutch champions Feyenoord.
The 27-year-old is a free agent after Sevilla agreed to terminate the final two years of his contract before the transfer deadline.
That means Idrissi can move on for free, and he is thought to have suitors in both Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
United have now been invited to make a move for Idrissi with agents maybe hoping that Ten Hag can be tempted into a reunion.
Idrissi has previously hailed Erik ten Hag
We know Ten Hag likes signing his former players; just look at Andre Onana, Lisandro Martinez, Sofyan Amrabat and Antony.
Idrissi is another player who knows Ten Hag well having joined Ajax on loan for the second half of the 2020-21 season.
The Moroccan international didn’t make a huge impact in his time with Ten Hag, playing 14 times but failing to register a goal or an assist.
Idrissi still loved his time under Ten Hag though, and was quoted by Voetbal Nieuws last year as saying that he felt Ten Hag’s training sessions were ‘great’.
Ajax were sensational during Idrissi’s time at the club though, meaning Ten Hag simply didn’t have much reason to change his team and make Idrissi a key player.
“Sevilla was happy that I could go to Ajax. I was also happy with Ajax, but I knew it wasn’t going to be that simple. In retrospect it was only good for me,” said Idrissi. “Erik ten Hag’s training sessions were great, but Ajax played well and he had little reason to change,” he added.
Idrissi would seemingly fancy working under Ten Hag again, but whether the United boss feels the same way remains to be seen
