Manchester Utd offer 5-6x wages, prepared to bet strong to sign £52million star – journalist

Manchester United are seriously interested in signing Takefusa Kubo from Real Sociedad, now even reports in Spain have confirmed.

Yesterday, we covered a story via The Sun, claiming the Red Devils want to lure the Japanese playmaker.

Today, Mundo Deportivo have ‘confirmed’ the information published by the British source (news image provided below) and also provided some interesting updates.

The Catalan media outlet claim Man Utd are prepared to make a ‘very strong bet’ to sign the Asian winger from Sociedad.

To convince him to move to Old Trafford, MD state United would offer Kubo a contract that will multiply his current wages by ‘five or six’ times.

The 20-time English champions want to get rid of big money flop, Antony, and his ridiculously high wages of 14 million euros gross per season.

The Sun talked about a valuation of 50 million euros for Kubo but as per Mundo Deportivo, Sociedad president, Jokin Aperribay, would only sell the club’s prized asset if the release clause of £52million (60 million euros) in his contract is activated.

In the current campaign, so far, the youngster has netted six goals and provided four assists in 20 starts in all competitions for the Txuri Urdin.

The 22-year-old winger made his senior debut for Japan back in 2019 and thus far, he has made 29 appearances for the country.

In your view, should Man Utd offer £52million to sign Takefusa Kubo?
