Manchester Utd submit £34million offer to sign £52million Ten Hag favorite – Report
Manchester United have submitted an offer worth £34m to sign Andre Onana but it is not going to be enough.
As per today’s version of Corriere dello Sport (news image provided below), Erik ten Hag’s ‘favorite’ to reinforce the GK position is Onana but at the moment, the deal is complicated.
Man Utd have moved in with an offer worth 40 million euros (£34m) thinking that it would be enough to get the deal over the line.
However, Inter Milan have told the Red Devils that it will take a fee of 60 million euros (£52m) to prize the Cameroonian international way from San Siro.
As per La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Onana would not mind staying with the Nerazzurri but he would find his ‘mentor’, Erik ten Hag, at Old Trafford.
It is reported that the African star has already ‘become a legend’ but it will be hard for the Serie A side to say ‘No’ if they receive an offer of around 45-50 million euros.
GdS claim when Man Utd reasoned on the offer, Inter quoted a price of 60 million euros (£52m).
In all competitions, last term, Onana made 41 appearances under the management of Simone Inzaghi, conceded 36 goals and kept no fewer than 19 clean sheets.
The 34-capped international has the quality to replace David De Gea at Old Trafford. In your view, should Man Utd meet the £52m asking price to get the deal done?
