Manchester Utd willing to finally agree signing of £34m star for cheap price after Club revealed player is not in their plan again– Report
Manchester United wanted to sign a striker in the winter transfer window and were reportedly very close to Guirassy.
However, the move could not materialize due to the problematic finances of the Red Devils.
Renowned transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, recently revealed on his podcast:
“The player who was really close to joining Manchester United is Serhou Guirassy from Stuttgart.”
“But from what I’m hearing, the situation was impossible because of finances.”
According to a recent report covered by SportBild, the likes of Man Utd, Atletico Madrid and Newcastle United have been chasing the Guinea international, who has been in red hot form in the current season.
Guirassy has scored every 62 minutes for Stuttgart in the Bundesliga, making him even better than Bayern Munich’s superstar striker, Harry Kane.
The England international is averaging a goal every 73 minutes in the German league.
SportBild claim Man Utd are willing to finally agree his signing for cheap in the summer transfer window.
The famous news source have mentioned that Guirassy’s current market value is around £34m (40 million euros).
However, the low release clause in the summer makes the 27-year-old center forward available for just a fee of £17m (20 million euros).
Last night, Guinea were eliminated from the African Cup of Nations by DR Congo and the striker is on his way back to Germany.
In your view, should Man Utd activate the £17m clause to finally sign Guirassy in the summer?
