Martinez finally back, Casemiro to replace Mainoo’: Man united predicted XI vs Tottenham today as Ten Hag set to Unleash a dangerous squad to destroy Tottenham

Manchester United are set to battle Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon in a game with huge implications for Erik ten Hag.

Premier League football returns to Old Trafford on Sunday at 4 pm and it’s an absolutely vital game for Manchester United. Taking on Big Six rivals Tottenham Hotspur at home, Erik ten Hag needs three points after just one win in five.

A win could be a massive result for United and boost confidence but a loss could prove catastrophic as Sir Jim Ratcliffe attends his first game as part-owner of the club.

Ten Hag will be boosted by the fact he’s expecting a handball of injured players to return with some even ready to start.

Spurs come into the game with absences of their own, none more notable than Heung-min Son and James Maddison. It’s an opportunity for United against a weakened opponent to pick up a massive win.

So with that in mind here is our predicted line-up to face Spurs.

Manchester United predicted line-up vs Spurs
For Ten Hag a win is absolutely vital as he really cannot afford to lose many more games. Therefore against Spurs, he should name a strong line-up and that starts with Andre Onana.

Onana has stayed back from AFCON for this game so there’s little chance he will miss out on this game. Altay Bayindir will have his eyes now firmly locked on the next round of the FA Cup for his debut.

On the right side of defence, Diogo Dalot starts and is joined on the left by the returning Luke Shaw who will be a huge boost for United.

In central defence, Lisandro Martinez likely misses out but should feature from the bench. This leaves the pairing of Raphael Varane and Jonny Evans to start in defence.

In midfield, another returning star could start with Casemiro back in midfield next to the 18-year-old prodigy that is Kobbie Mainoo, who has emerged in his absence.

Bruno Fernandes then starts in the number 10 position and will hope to be back among the goals for United after his penalty against Wigan.

Alejandro Garnacho continues on the right where he has been incredible since starting there against Aston Villa. Marcus Rashford then would start on the left hoping to finally refind his form.

Rasmus Hojlund will start up front, as he aims to score his second league goal of the season after he managed his first in his last league outing in December.
