Fabrizio Romano has told Caught Offside that Mykhaylo Mudryk remains Arsenal’s top target amid links over the weekend claiming that they want Christian Pulisic.
It would be no surprise to see the Gunners strengthen in the final third in January. Of course, Mikel Arteta’s men top the Premier League table. But they will not want to be complacent when such an amazing opportunity awaits.
The Daily Mirror reported on Saturday that Arsenal had the framework of a £40 million deal for Mudryk now in place.
Mudryk remains Arsenal’s top target
However, it was then reported by the Daily Mail on Sunday that the Gunners were one of the Premier League sides keen on £58 million man Pulisic.

The American’s future at Chelsea is uncertain as he approaches the final 18 months of his contract at Stamford Bridge.
Pulisic is clearly a ‘special‘ talent. He is impressing with the USMNT at the World Cup. And he has shown glimpses of his potential with the Blues. He also, unlike Mudryk, has bags of experience in the Premier League.
However, Romano believes that it is the Ukrainian – who was ‘very upset‘ over claims he would cost €100 million – who remains the Gunners’ top target for January.
“Pulisic was already on Man United’s list in the summer, but Chelsea didn’t want to loan him out at that time,” he told Caught Offside.
“His future depends on the proposals, at the moment the situation is still quiet; Arsenal’s priority remains Mudryk for January but it’s still early.”
Mudryk is certainly the more exciting target of the two. He has a remarkable record this season, scoring 10 goals and contributing eight assists across the top-flight and Champions League.
His pace is absolutely frightening. And at 21, there is still considerable room for further improvement.
That is a terrifying thought given how well he is already playing for club and country.
