Arsenal central defender Gabriel Magalhães has praised his Gunners teammate Marquinhos on Instagram following his debut against FC Zurich on Thursday evening.
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal kicked off their UEFA Europa League campaign with a win against Zurich away from home.
Marquinhos made his debut for the Gunners and gave a good account of himself.
The 19-year-old Brazilian, who can play as a winger or as a forward, found the back of the net in the 16th minute.
The teenager also provided an assist.
Arsenal won 2-1.
Marquinhos started on the right of a front-three.
The teenager is over the moon with his debut and has expressed his delight on Instagram, and fellow Brazilian and Arsenal teammate Gabriel has responded to post, as you can see below.

In our view, Marquinhos played well for Arsenal against FC Zurich and should be proud of his performance.
Yes, the Gunners were expected to play well and beat FC Zurich, but it was still a very solid display from the 19-year-old, who is one for the future.
Now, when all the other forwards are fit and fit, Marquinhos would have to fight really hard for his place in the starting lineup, but he showed on Thursday evening that he can hold his own.
