‘NOT Saka, not Martinelli’: Two Sky men react to what they’ve just seen from one Arsenal player

What a magician Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard is.

The Norway international orchestrated tonight’s win as Mikel Arteta’s side won 4-2 away to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Odegaard scored Arsenal’s second of the evening and created their fourth, through Gabriel Martinelli.

It was quite simply a ridiculously-good ball to play in the Brazil international, who made it 4-0 at the time.

On this form, Odegaard is the modern-day version of Dennis Bergkamp for the Gunners.

And here’s what Alan Smith said live on Sky Sports: “We’ve just seen one of the passes of the season from Odegaard. Just when it was looking a little dicey from Arsenal, absolutely superb. Martinelli is full of confidence in these situations.”

And Sky reporter Adam Bate simply added: “Obscene from Odegaard.”

That’s as good a word as any to describe the vision and execution of the former Real Madrid maestro.

The Gunners are now seven points clear at the top of the Premier League standings and it’s growing increasingly difficult to see where Arteta’s side are weak.

According to Arsene Wenger, there are ‘no weaknesses’ in his current Arsenal side.

And if Manchester City didn’t know they were in a title race before, now they definitely do.
