OFFICIAL – World-class UCL winner set for January transfer move to Man united as player agrees terms with the reds today, open to sealing transfer immediately
Manchester United offered a lucrative deal to sign Biran Brobbey in the summer of 2022 but the forward decided to turn Erik ten Hag down.
In the 2021-22 campaign, the young Dutch goal scorer netted 7 goals in just 4 starts under the current United boss as Ajax went on to win the Eredivisie title.
As per recent reports going on in the media, Man Utd have been in consistent contact and are intent on finally signing the 21-year-old striker.
According to Florian Plettenberg, the Red Devils never broke contact with the youngster and Ten Hag is looking to bring him to Old Trafford in the current transfer window.
However, the Sky Sport journalist has revealed that Ajax do not want to sell their prized asset, who earns around £72,000 a week, this month.
Last month, Brobbey heavily praised Man Utd assistant manager, Van der Gaag, who was also the assistant under Ten Hag at Ajax. He said (ESPN):
”Van der Gaag has made me very strong. His workouts are not normal. He is also a very good man to talk to.”
In the current campaign, so far, the Netherlands international has featured in 16 games in the Eredivisie, scored 9 goals and also provided 4 assists.
Brobbey made his debut for the senior Oranje side in October last year and would like to be part of the Euro 2024 squad.
In your view, is Brian Brobbey good enough to replace Anthony Martial at Old Trafford?
