Jamie O’Hara drops his 2022/2023 Pl Top four prediction: Tottenham above Chelsea

The Gunners missed last time out in the Champions League against bitter rivals Spurs, while Thomas Tuchel’s men finished third ahead of  the two north London sides.

But Jamie O’Hara believes Chelsea will slide to fifth this season, with the teams of Antonio Conte and Mikel Arteta ahead of them.

“I think Manchester City will run away the title this season,” he said.

“Liverpool second. Spurs will be third and Arsenal fourth. Chelsea are not in the top four and will be fifth.”

The TalkSPORT expert made a bold prediction and dropped Tuchel’s side out of the top four, despite placing above Spurs and Arsenal in the last four seasons.

If so, it will be a big surprise, although the London rivals have all worked hard to increase their chances of reaching the top 4 this season.

Tottenham have made six new signings and showed real intent by backing Conte. While the Gunners signed five new players, including Premier League championsOleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus.

Chelsea are the least active club to date but have signed two top players, Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly.

That might be a bold prediction if you look at recent history, but Chelsea still has a lot of work to do this summer.

The Blues need reinforcements and have missed out on Raphinha, and possibly Jules Kounde, both at Barcelona.

While Spurs and Arsenal have both done their required business relatively early on, despite the possibility that the teams could still add players.

Chelsea played unconvincingly in pre-season and even lost to Arteta’s side 4-0 last weekend. Friendlies no longer make sense as the season approaches, but both Spurs and Arsenal are in better form at the moment.
