Manchester United have been linked with Teun Koopmeiners this month and the latest reports going on in the media are intriguing.

According to a recent report covered CorSera, Man Utd, Liverpool and Chelsea have immediate financial availability to secure the signing of the Dutch midfielder from Atalanta.

Citing the Italian source, Tutto Atalanta, have mentioned that the Bergamo side value their prized asset at around £46.5m-£50.7m (55-60 million euros).

TA claim Man Utd, Liverpool and Chelsea have the funds to ‘easily’ agree the above mentioned asking fee to sign Koopmeiners.

The 26-year-old Oranje star is a versatile talent, who can effectively play anywhere in the center of the park.

Last season, he mostly featured in an advanced midfield role for Atalanta and directly contributed in 22 goals (17 goals and 5 assists) in all competitions.

Koopmeiners was a key member of Gasperini’s squad that lifted the Europa League trophy after beating German champions, Bayer Leverkusen.

He was also expected to be a key player for the Netherlands at the Euros, but unfortunately, the midfielder suffered an injury before the tournament and is currently recovering.

The question is, should Man Utd pay £46.5m-£50.7m to sign Teun Koopmeiners?

The Red Devils do need to improve things in the center of the park but ideally, they must sign a defensive midfielder to replace Casemiro.

In the No.10 role, Ten Hag already has Bruno Fernandes, and the skipper is arguably the best player in our squad.

Therefore, in our view, there is no real need to splash the cash on Koopmeiners. What do you think?
