Player agreed £173,000 a week deal with Man Utd, now ever closer to completing move elsewhere
Manchester United must act fast to improve the squad but thus far, they have not been able to secure even one big signing.
If reports in the media are anything to go by then prime defensive target, Kim Min-Jae, is going to snub the Red Devils in favor of a move to Bayern Munich.
Last week, Il Mattino revealed the South Korean international will be signing for the 20-time English champions.
The Italian news outlet claimed that Kim agreed a deal worth £173,000 a week (£9 million a year) with Manchester United.
However, a few hours ago, Il Mattino published a story stating that the Napoli superstar is ‘ever closer’ to moving to Bayern Munich.
It is reported the player has been on Man Utd’s radar for some time and will leave the Naples based side in the first two weeks of July for 60 million euros.
Bayern are getting ‘closer and closer’ to signing the Serie A defender of the Season and the news should hurt the Old Trafford faithful.
Kim was rock solid at the back last term and helped Napoli win their first Scudetto in over three decades. In all competitions, the 26-year-old helped Spalletti’s team keep 20 clean sheets.
Erik ten Hag did wonders to earn Champions League qualification and end the trophy drought at Old Trafford in his debut season.
However, to compete with the best of teams in the continent and to challenge Man City for the Premier League title, the Dutch manager needs top quality signings.
If Man Utd continue to lose out on getting key targets, then they can forget about achieving the objectives next season.
