‘Plus £70m’: Arsenal told to sell Gabriel Martinelli to sign one of the world’s best players

Jay Bothroyd has stated that he would sell Gabriel Martinelli in order to help Arsenal secure the talents of PSG superstar, Kylian Mbappe.

Once again, it’s all going off in Paris and it seems as though Kylian Mbappe, who has one-year left on his contract, could be headed for the exit door this summer.

That has alerted the masses, with many fans across Europe hoping that they could sign one of the world’s best players, including former Arsenal player Bothroyd, who wrote on Twitter: ‘I would give PSG £70m plus Gabriel Martinelli (for Mbappe)’.

That’s a little harsh on Martinelli because he has come on leaps and bounds under Mikel Arteta this term and is turning into one of the best wide players in the Premier League.

But perhaps Bothroyd needs to double his £70 million price on Mbappe because that, added with Martinelli, still probably wouldn’t land his talents.

That’s just the transfer fee, good luck paying his £893k-a-week wages.

Where next for Mbappe?

Whilst Arsenal fans dream of landing the World Cup winner, in truth, it’s Real Madrid that he’ll end up joining if he leaves PSG.

Or, like has been the case for the past few seasons, he adds another year to his contract at the Parc des Princes and this saga resurfaces again next summer.

Either way, it’s just time for Mbappe to leave PSG because he’s not going to win the Ballon d’Or whilst playing in Ligue 1, nor will he win the European Cup for a team that wasn’t even the biggest club in France before the money came along.
