REVEALED: Arsenal next FIVE premier League fixtures compared to Chelsea and Man city in the title race – as Mikel Arteta faces easy opposition side that could hand Arsenal the title before February
The Emirates Stadium played host to one of the most dramatic games of the Premier League season so far, in an encounter that many associated with Arsenal wouldn’t have expected. The Gunners played host to bottom-of-the-league Wolves, who had picked up just two points before their trip to London.
While many perhaps expected a routine victory, it was anything but that, as Arsenal were made to work for their chances against the visitors. It wasn’t until the 70th minute that the home side took the lead, as Bukayo Saka’s dangerous corner bounced off the post and onto Sam Johnstone for an unfortunate own goal.
Wolves stayed resolute and seemed to get their rewards in the 90th minute, as Tolu Arokodare flicked on an inviting cross into the back of the net. There was plenty of frustration in the air for the Gunners, as it seemed as though two points were going to be dropped.
That was until a slice of fortune fell for Mikel Arteta, as Saka’s cross seemingly flicked off of Gabriel Jesus and onto Yerson Mosquera, who put the ball into the back of the net for the second own goal of the evening. In the end, Arsenal saw the game out, taking the game as a mere warning shot rather than another blow to their Premier League title chances.
It was far from convincing, but the side will be looking to drag themselves through a busy Christmas period and into the new year. So, with that said, here’s a look at Arsenal’s next five fixtures compared to their title rivals in the race at the top of the league.

There is also the challenge of the Carabao Cup awaiting them, with a quarter-final against Crystal Palace just before Christmas. It’s a spell that will truly test the squad to the maximum.
