Arsenal dropped more points in their quest to win the Premier League title with a draw against Chelsea.
The Gunners were held to a 1-1 stalemate at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon and are now in fourth place in the top-flight standings, nine points adrift of leaders Liverpool and four behind Manchester City.
Kai Havertz thought he had opened the scoring in the first half, only for his effort to be ruled out for offside following a VAR check. Mikel Arteta’s side did eventually go 1-0 in front thanks to a strike from Gabriel Martinelli on the hour mark
The goal from the Brazilian did not prove to be enough to secure the win for Arsenal, though, with Pedro Neto equalising for Chelsea less than 10 minutes later.
Arsenal will return to action after the November international break later this month when they host Nottingham Forest at the Emirates Stadium later this month.
