Rio Ferdinand says 29-year-old Arsenal ace will himself admit he is not better than one PL star

Rio Ferdinand has said that if Thomas Partey was to come on his show, ‘Vibe With Five’, the Arsenal star would himself admit that Manchester United lynchpin Casemiro is a better player than him.

Since the arrival of the latter in the Premier League, there has been a constant debate between United and Arsenal fans over who comes out on top: him or Partey?

The general consensus remains that Thomas Partey, Casemiro and Rodri are the 3 best defensive midfielders in the Premier League, and potentially even in the world.

However, the Arsenal and Manchester United fanbase tend to side with their representatives for obvious reason.

Casemiro has needed little to no time to adapt to the Premier League, whilst singlehandedly transforming the midfield at Erik ten Hag’s disposal.

While Thomas Partey did take his sweet time to prove his class, he has well and truly arrived in an Arsenal shirt.

However, a certain Ferdinand thinks there’s only one winner in this ongoing debate.

Rio Ferdinand has boldly said that Arsenal ace Thomas Partey himself would admit on his very show that Manchester United midfielder Casemiro is a better player than him.

“[Thomas] Partey’s a good player. He ain’t Casemiro, trust me!”

“And if we have Partey on this show [Vibe With Five] one day, he will say, ‘Joel [Beya], don’t do this to me, man”, Rio Ferdinand told Arsenal fan Joel Beya on his YouTube channel.

It is closer between the Arsenal & Manchester United stars than Ferdinand thinks

Career wise, it is a no-contest as Casemiro is the clear winner.

However, in the context of the 2022/2023 season, there is an argument to be made for whether Thomas Partey or Casemiro is better, contrary to how Rio Ferdinand feels.

With half the campaign still left to unfold, time will be the best possible decider of this debate.
