‘Sending scouts regularly’: Romano claims Arsenal want Spanish defender – deal set to be agreed
Fabrizio Romano has reported on CaughtOffSide that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal want to sign Ivan Fresneda from Real Valladolid in the summer transfer window.
The Italian journalist has claimed that Arsenal are closely following Fresneda and are scouting the right-back regularly.
Romano has added that the Gunners want to sign a right-back in the summer transfer window.
The 18-year-old right-back was linked with a move to Arsenal in the January transfer window as well.
The Athletic reported in January 2023 that Arsenal, Newcastle United and Borussia Dortmund all wanted to sign the Spain Under-19 international in the January transfer window.
ARSENAL WANT IVAN FRESNEDA
Romano said: “Despite reports to the contrary, at the moment I’m not aware of any negotiation between Arsenal and Inter for Dumfries.
“They are exploring right back options and Ivan Fresneda remains appreciated, they are sending scouts regularly to follow him, but Dumfries has completely different value for Inter and at the moment his situation is still quiet.”
