‘Special’ £52 million player wants to join Arsenal after rejecting other bids from different club,Agent was in London few hours ago
Martin Zubimendi allegedly wants to join Arsenal from Real Sociedad in the summer transfer window.
That’s according to a report from Mundo Deportivo who claim that the 23-year-old wants Arsenal over Barcelona.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is thought to be desperate to bolster his central midfield ranks at the Emirates in the summer.
Declan Rice and Moises Caicedo are two key transfer targets for Arteta (Evening Standard), but Real Sociedad star Zubimendi is on the Spaniard’s wish-list as well (Eurosport).
And the talented Spaniard is believed to be keen on a move to the Emirates…
MARTIN ZUBIMENDI WANTS ARSENAL MOVE
The 23-year-old Sociedad ace would prefer to join Arsenal over Barcelona in the summer transfer window, according to a report from Mundo Deportivo.
What a signing the 23-year-old would be for the Gunners – he really is an elite player. He has a €60 million (£52 million) release clause inserted into his current contract with Sociedad (Cadena Ser).
The Daily Mail have described him as a ‘special player’, and they’re not wrong. Zubimendi is technically brilliant, possesses pace and power in abundance and has the ability to really control the tempo of a match. He also has really impressive stamina and energy levels.
£52 million for Martin Zubimendi would actually represent fantastic value for Arsenal in my opinion. And if Arteta manages to bring him to the Emirates in the summer transfer window, the Gunners will be a much stronger team as a result.
