Star agrees £31million+ worth contract to sign for Man Utd – Report
Manchester United are on the verge of completing their second signing of the summer and a new goal keeper is about to arrive.
If reports are to be believed then Andre Onana has agreed a contract that will make him earn over £5.15m a year, £31million in the next six years.
As per today’s version of La Gazzetta Dello Sport (news image provided below), the Cameroonian shot stopper will leave for Manchester today to undergo medical tests with United.
Inter Milan will receive a fee of over 50 million euros (including add-ons), a massive amount considering the player was lured on a bosman last year.
As far as the terms of the contract are concerned, Onana has agreed a deal that will more than double his currently salary at the San Siro.
It is stated that ‘today’ he will join Man Utd on a five year deal, with an option for a sixth year and earn over 6 million euros a season. The entire worth of the contract would be more than £31million.
To replace the former Ajax goalie, Inter want Yan Sommer, who has already said ‘yes’ to joining the Nerazzurri this summer.
United have already improved their midfield by signing Mason Mount and Onana will be a top class addition for the No. 1 GK role.
After luring the African, Erik ten Hag must focus on securing a deal to land a top quality striker. The Red Devils have not replaced legendary goal scorers like Cavani and Ronaldo as yet.
In your view, who should Man Utd sign to strengthen the striking department this summer?
