Star prepared to agree £99k-a-wk terms, Man Utd ready to pay £43m+ for signing
Manchester United remain heavily linked with Andre Onana but thus far, no official offer has arrived on the table of Inter Milan.
As per today’s version of La Gazzetta Dello Sport (news image provided below), the 27-year-old star is still waiting for the Red Devils to submit a bid.
The Italian media outlet have mentioned that United have chosen Onana to reinforce the GK position but in England, they claim cheaper alternatives like Bijlow and Trapp are on the radar as well.
The former Eredivisie star earns a salary of three million euros per season with the Nerazzurri.
GdS claim his representatives have been in talks with Man Utd. They are looking to double his wages to 6 million euros per season i.e. around £99k-a-wk, to move to Old Trafford.
As far as the asking fee is concerned, the news source claim that there is still a slight difference in valuation.
Inter Milan rate their prized asset at 60 million euros (£52m), on the other hand, Man Utd are ready to pay over £43m (including add-ons).
However, the Red Devils are yet to make an official bid and it is reported that Nerazzurri are willing to meet at ‘halfway’ to complete the deal.
The San Siro outfit are already preparing for the departure of Onana and are targeting Ukrainian international, Anatoliy Trubin.
