Ten Hag first signing confirmed: Manchester United have verbally agreed to sign £70m star, Negotiation ongoing on a 5yr deal, official announcement tomorrow morning
Man Utd manager, Erik ten Hag is ready to seal the signing of Joshua Zirkzee to improve the strike-force at Old Trafford, as per reports.
According to multiple media outlets, the Dutch manager wants his countryman to join the Red Devils from Bologna this summer.
As per today’s version of Corriere di Bologna, the headline states “Manchester United hits Zirkzee”.
The news source have mentioned that Man Utd have moved with force as manager, Ten Hag, is prepared to sign Zirkzee.
Contacts between the player’s representative and the Premier League side have been consistent in order to seal the deal.
CorBologna claim the Rossoblu are looking to extend the 23-year-old star’s stay by offering him a fresh contract with a release clause of 50 million euros.
The current termination clause is worth 40 million euros.
Another source in the form of iNews also claim that Ten Hag is keen on bringing Zirkzee to Man Utd. However, the Netherlands international is not the only striker on the radar of the PL side.
It is reported that United are set to initiate talks to sign the player to provide support to Rasmus Hojlund up front.
The Danish forward netted 9 goals in the 22-23 Serie A campaign when the Red Devils opted to sign him. Hojlund then managed to score 16 goals in all competitions last term.
On the other hand, Zirkzee found the net 11 times in the Italian league last season. Should Man Utd splash the cash to sign him for Erik ten Hag?
