TERMS AGREED: Man united have reached total agreement to sealed the signing of south American superstar, agreement in place since last week and now is a done deal – Ten Hag third signing confirmed

Man Utd’s activity in the transfer market isn’t just limited to big-money signings. The Red Devils are also looking to be smart and clever in their operations, setting their sights on what can be called ‘transfer market opportunities’.

One such potential opportunity banging on the door is Adrien Rabiot, who is now a free agent having left Juventus at the end of last season. The Frenchman is immensely experienced and would be a smart addition to any top team this summer.

The good thing for Man Utd is that Adrien Rabiot seems interested in a move to Man Utd. We covered a story a couple of days ago revealing that the 29-year-old rejected a move to Liverpool as he wants to wait for an Old Trafford move where he would earn €10m a year.

Now, as per Caught Offside, Man Utd are negotiating with the player’s entourage to agree to a salary of at least €8m a year, which would amount to around £130,000 a week. Coming as a free agent, it is no surprise to see Rabiot demanding this.

The ex-PSG midfielder is someone who has divided opinion for a very long time now. Despite being a regular for his club and international teams, there are question marks over his ability to play and perform in big games.

One thing that Rabiot will know is that the pressure at Man Utd is unlike what he has experienced before. Every game wearing a Red Devil shirt is a big game and there will be a million eyes scrutinizing every single move he makes on the pitch.

Rabiot, despite coming on a free transfer, is an expensive signing for Man Utd and they need to be clear they definitely want him in the squad. He would give Erik ten Hag an interesting option off the bench. Let’s see if the club get this deal over the line in this transfer window.
