Arsenal legend Arsene Wenger has heaped praise on Bukayo Saka and branded him as an ‘exceptional football player’.
The 22-year-old youngster is one of the best players in the world. He has been fantastic for Arsenal over the years, and Wenger appears to be a big fan of him now.
Arsene Wenger says Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka is ‘top-class’
Bukayo Saka has been at Arsenal since he was a kid.
The youngster came through the academy and it became clear in his teens that he was a really special talent. Everybody at the club knew he was going to make it.
Unai Emery gave Saka his debut when he was at the helm, and the Englishman hasn’t looked back since. He has been sensational for the Gunners, so much so that a football icon like Arsene Wenger is talking about him now.
After claiming that Saka is ‘world-class’ a few days ago, Wenger sent a special message to the Arsenal man via beIN Sports. The video was played to the youngster, and it’s safe to say, he was moved.
Wenger said: “As a person, I don’t know him well enough to assess his personality. The only thing I can tell you is, from the noises I get out from the club, he’s an exceptional person. His behaviour is impeccable.
“As a football player, he’s top-class. I like the fact that he takes responsibility in big games. He doesn’t moan a lot, gets on with it, gets kicked a lot. I would like him even to be more standing up against things, but, overall, he’s not scared of anybody.
“He tries until the last minute. His discipline, he’s a team player, I must say, for me, is exceptional. I hope we can keep him for a long time because certainly, he’s an exceptional football player.”
Bukayo Saka is ‘world-class’
There has been a lot of talk about what level Arsenal‘s Bukayo Saka is currently at.
Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand is absolutely adamant that the Gunners number seven is not a ‘world-class’ player, and that has annoyed a few Arsenal fans.
Arsene Wenger, who has managed numerous elite players over the years, says Saka is a world-class footballer. So, in our opinion, that settles the debate.
Saka is up there with the very best players in the world. He is a phenomenal talent, and the fact that he has 28 direct goal contributions in 33 appearances proves that he is world-class.
