‘There seems to be’: Sky Sports reporter has just given a Friday night update that will delight Arsenal fans

Arsenal are moving closer and closer to signing Manchester City striker, Gabriel Jesus, according to Sky Sports reporter, Dharmesh Sheth.

Speaking live on Sky this evening about the latest Arsenal transfer news, Sheth moved the discussion onto Jesus after initially confirming that Fabio Vieira was indeed in London to complete his move to the Gunners.

And in what will be good news for Arsenal fans to hear, Sheth updated fans by saying there is a willingness from all parties – City and Arsenal – to get the deal done when it comes to Gabriel Jesus.

“The deal that is being discussed, there is still a gap in the valuation. Manchester City want around £50m for Gabriel Jesus. He’s only 25, so you can understand that,” Sheth said.

“But there seems to be a willingness and what’s been described as a quiet confidence that a deal can be done because all parties want to get this done.”

Jesus has emerged as Arsenal’s top attacking target this summer. His minutes with City are set to dwindle as Pep Guardiola looks forward to working with both Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez.

The Gunners are set to be busy in the market this summer, as they look to give Mikel Arteta fresh quality to push towards a top four finish.

Our View: Gabriel Jesus Will End Up At Arsenal…Eventually

It’s taking its time to get over the line but there is a feeling that we’ll be seeing Gabriel Jesus in Arsenal red come next season. For Gunners fans, they just want that announcement. But we are still only in June, so patience might be needed.

Jesus is, of course, a fine player. If Arsenal can sign him and add some of the other players being mentioned, then their squad won’t half be better equipped for next term.
