‘They can’t get this one wrong’: Journalist drops Arsenal incoming transfer claim
Arsenal are “genuinely” looking for a new winger, according to Dean Jones.
The transfer insider, writing on GiveMeSport, claims the Gunners are making sure any new arrival would be the right fit.
However, a new winger continues to elude the Gunners.
Mikel Arteta’s charges have been linked with the likes of Raphinha, Raheem Sterling, Serge Gnabry and Moussa Diaby.
However, the first two have gone elsewhere, while the latter two have committed their futures to their respective clubs.
Now, Arsenal are apparently eyeing Villarreal’s Yeremy Pino.
And PSV Eindhoven’s Cody Gakpo has also been linked with a switch to the Emirates Stadium.
Jones believes Arsenal are still very much on the lookout for a new addition on the flanks.
However, he says the Gunners “can’t get this one wrong” as they don’t want to “rock the boat”.
Jones wrote on GiveMeSport: “Arsenal are genuinely looking at options here, but it has to be the right fit.
“They can’t get this one wrong because they’ve already got a good set of attackers.
“And they’ve got to complement them rather than rock the boat.”
Arsenal have done a great job in bolstering their attacking ranks this summer.
The Gunners landed a world-class, Premier League-proven striker in Gabriel Jesus.
And Marquinhos, a very exciting Brazilian prospect, has also arrived at the Emirates
Arteta also has the likes of Eddie Nketiah, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Emile Smith Rowe at his disposal.
