‘They will surely Humiliate them like they did last season’- Chris Sutton PREDICTS the result of Arsenal v Everton on Sunday
Arsenal return to Premier League action on Sunday after the international break with a trip to Goodison Park to face Everton.
They lost 1-0 on their last visit to the Toffees’ home ground in February and last won there in 2017, so manager Mikel Arteta and his men will be looking to break the jinx this time around.
BBC pundit Chris Sutton expects Arsenal to secure a 2-1 victory over Everton, but he believes it will not come easy as Sean Dyche will be keen to get one over his opposite number again.
“Can Sean Dyche do it again against Mikel Arteta?,” Sutton said in his prediction column on BBC.
“Another win would be massive but it’s a huge ask for Everton, even if they have been playing better at Goodison Park than their results suggest.
“I think Everton will score but even if Arsenal aren’t at their best, they will still find a way to win.”
The loss against Everton last season eventually proved costly in the title race, and the Gunners will be desperate to avoid a repeat.
They are yet to lose in the Premier League this term, with three wins and a draw to their name so far, and they will fancy their chances against the struggling hosts.
The Toffees have lost three and drawn one of their opening four games, but their two defeats at Goodison have been narrow 1-0 losses and the home fans will get behind them against Arsenal.
The North Londoners will be without Thomas Partey after the Ghana international picked up a knock before the international break, but Mohamed Elneny could be available for selection after he was pictured in training on Wednesday.
With Manchester City yet to lose this term, Arsenal know they cannot afford to drop any points right now if they are to have a chance of winning the title this season, and anything apart from a victory on Sunday will be disappointing.
