Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has praised Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, saying that the Gunners are “really good”.
Erik ten Hag has told Manchester United’s official website that Arsenal are a very good team.
The former Ajax boss made the comments about Arsenal after the Red Devils beat them in a pre-season friendly this weekend.
United won 2-0 against Arsenal at the MetLife Stadium on Saturday.
Portugal international attacking midfielder Bruno Fernandes and England international winger Jadon Sancho scored the goals for United.
United also won an exhibition penalty shootout 5-3 against Arsenal.
Ten Hag said: “Arsenal is a really good opponent. They played incredibly good last season in the Premier League, so yeah, that’s good to match with them, then you will be better.”

Yes, it was a pre-season friendly and we should not read too much into the result.
But, the fact of the matter is that Arsenal were far from impressive in their performance.
True, the Red Devils were more physical in their approach than you would expect in a pre-season match, but there were also mistakes from Arsenal players, including goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.
Arsenal need to do better in pre-season matches.
Results do not matter in such games, but performances do.
Manchester United will be aiming to challenge for the Premier League title next season.
Their win and performance against an Arsenal team who pushed Manchester City really hard last season will be hugely encouraging for Ten Hag.
Arsenal will face a massive challenge from the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City for the Premier League title next season.
