‘This deal is very close’: Journalist has some really exciting news for Arsenal fans

Football journalist Pete O’Rourke has claimed that Bukayo Saka is now ‘very close’ to signing a new contract at Arsenal.

The young Englishman has arguably been the Gunners’ best player over the last two years. He’s undoubtedly their finest talent, but there have been concerns about his future, especially with the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester City said to be interested in him.

If he becomes available in the market, almost every top club in the world will consider a move to sign him, which is something Arsenal simply cannot allow.

Mikel Arteta and Edu have been desperate to tie Saka down to a long-term deal, and O’Rourke has some exciting news for Arsenal supporters now.

The journalist claimed that he’s hearing from both Saka’s camp and Arsenal that the 21-year-old is on the verge of extending his contract at the Emirates.

He told GiveMeSport: “It seems all the noises coming out of Arsenal – from their camp as well as Saka’s camp – is that this deal is very close to being agreed, which will be a huge boost to everybody connected to the club.”

Saka is arguably the best player of his age in the Premier League. He has been brilliant for club and country over the last two seasons, and he definitely has the potential to become a superstar in the coming years.

Arsenal were never really at risk of losing Saka, but when the rumour mill links the youngster with moves to clubs like Liverpool, Manchester City and Real Madrid, it’s natural that fans become worried.

However, if O’Rourke is to be believed, all the speculation will be put to bed very, very soon.
