Thomas Partey screamer gains Arsenal fourth goal against Forest, the keeper had no chance – Journalist reports.

Thomas Partey scored one of his best goals in an Arsenal shirt as the Gunners knocked five past Nottingham Forest to go top of the Premier League.

It didn’t take long for Mikel Arteta’s side to take the lead on Sunday.

Gabriel Martinelli, who has been one of Arsenal’s standout performers this season, headed in from a Bukayo Saka cross in the fifth minute.

The Brazilian proceeded to hold up a shirt with Pablo Mari’s name on it, days after the Spanish defender was stabbed in the back whilst walking around a Milan supermarket.

Reiss Nelson made it 2-0 early in the second-half and three minutes later, the 22-year-old bagged another as Arsenal continued to cause Steve Cooper’s side all sorts of problems with their attacking intent.

Thomas Partey then netted his fourth goal of the season with 57 minutes played – a strike that could potentially win the Premier League goal of the month award.

Martin Odegaard, another key element to Arsenal’s success of late, put the icing on top of the cake with 12 minutes left of normal time to make it 5-0.

Arsenal once again sit top of the Premier League, two points ahead of reigning champions Manchester City with 12 games played.

And former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger recently branded his former side the second best team in England’s top flight.

The Frenchman thinks the Gunners are the most likely team to overtake Pep Guardiola’s men a comment Mikel Arteta recently responded to.

“Hopefully he is right,” he said via The Mirror.”

“Just like he has been right on so many occasions. It’s great that people who know and love the club so much have such an opinion about us. Now, unfortunately, we have to show that on the pitch.”
