Manchester United must act fast to reinforce the squad before the transfer deadline end in a week and the name of Patrick Dorgu is consistently in the lime light.
The Red Devils have already reached an agreement with the Danish defender and have already tried with multiple offers, but they are yet to convince Lecce.
Before the defeat against Inter Milan last night, president of Lecce, Saverio Sticchi Damiani, said:
“The club is making its own resistance which I think is logical. We want to do logical and common sense things. Up until now, our idea is not to let anyone leave”
As per today’s version of Corriere dello Sport (news image provided below), in the coming days, there will be another offer from Man Utd, which will be ‘very close’ to the 40 million euros requested by the Serie A side for Dorgu.
The Italian media outlet claim the 20-year-old has ‘not changed his mind’, he wants to move to Manchester now to join compatriot, Rasmus Hojlund.
In the meantime, Lecce has reached an agreement for Danilo Veiga to improve the fullback positions, but the 22-year-old Portuguese is mainly a right back.
Dorgu featured for full 90 minutes against the defending Italian champions last night and was poor as Lecce lost the game 0-4 in front of their own supporters.
On the other hand, Ruben Amorim’s men were able to beat the Cottagers in their own backyard thanks to a deflected effort from Lisandro Martinez.
Should Man Utd offer £33.5million to finally seal the signing of Dorgu?
