Victor Osimhen signed £120m deal, Brentford demand Ivan Toney-Smith Rowe deal, Mbappe deal pending – Arsenal set to agree deal for 23yo star, player flattered by interest
Arsenal will need to pay €25 million to sign Galatasaray right-back Sacha Boey during the current transfer window, according to AS.
The Gunners have been long-term admirers of the Frenchman and they were linked with an approach for him earlier in the summer.
Boey said that he was flattered by the interest from Mikel Arteta’s side, but the club did not make a move after signing Jurrien Timber.
It is now reported that the north London giants are still interested in the former Rennes man and have been following him closely.
Galatasaray would ideally like to keep him until the summer, but are willing to consider his sale if they receive an offer of at least €25m.
Arsenal unlikely to pursue Boey this month
Boey has caught the eye with his tireless work rate and ability to make recoveries with his pace.
However, he has yet to make regular goal contributions with only two in 28 appearances this term. He continues to be linked with top clubs.
The 23-year-old could leave Galatasaray in the near future, but we don’t see the Gunners making a transfer approach to sign him this winter.
The Gunners currently need a new striker and a midfielder. They have identified Borja Mayoral and Amadou Onana as their potential targets.
A right-back is not at the top of their priority list. Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu have both impressed from the role. Timber will return from a knee injury soon.
If they are planning to recruit one this summer, they could lean towards signing Jeremie Frimpong, who has a stunning 17 goal involvements this season.
The club are reportedly determined to trigger the release clause in his Bayer Leverkusen contract.
