Despite having signed four players this transfer window (and quite expensive ones that), Man Utd still remain keen to make the right moves in what is left of the transfer market and that could mean looking at market opportunities.

One player who is the perfect example of a market opportunity this summer is Juventus winger Federico Chiesa.

Out of Juventus’ project under Thiago Motta, the winger whose contract expires in 2025 is set to be available for a bargain fee.

Man Utd were linked with interest in the 26-year-old playmaker last month and it was mentioned that the Old Lady were asking for £42.4m to part ways with Chiesa.

Now, as per Sport [image attached at the end], the player could be available for just £12.8m (15 million euros).

The report explains that there is no turning back for Chiesa’s career in Turin and the club is keen to get his salary off their books [£5.1m/annum]. They want to ensure a sale this summer and the proposition of a loan will not be entertained.

Chiesa has received offers from Premier League clubs Man Utd and Chelsea but he is yet to accept them with his priority being Barcelona. The Catalan club are studying a move for the Euro 2020 superstar this summer.

The last few seasons have been difficult for the Italian international. He struggled to recover from an ACL injury that he suffered which kept him out of football for a prolonged period. Moreover, he was unable to showcase his best form at the Euro 2024.

If any club signs Chiesa this summer, it would be an incredible transfer with massive upsides should they get it right. This is a no-brainer for Man Utd but it remains to be seen if the player decides to come to Old Trafford.
