‘What a player’: Bukayo Saka and Gabi Jesus blown away by £45m Arsenal player today
Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus were blown away by Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey after today’s win at Stamford Bridge.
The Arsenal duo took to Instagram to praise their teammate after beating Chelsea 1-0 earlier today.
The Gunners completely dominated the game and fully deserved to take all three points back to north London.
Gabriel Magalhaes’ second-half goal proved to be the difference between the sides but Arsenal could have scored more on the day.
Jesus and Martin Odegaard both had decent chances to make the victory more emphatic. But Arteta’s men completely stifled Chelsea’s attacking threat on the day.
Partey put in yet another commanding display from central midfield and the £45 million man has received high praise from his teammates.
Saka and Jesus blown away by Partey
Partey posted on Instagram with pictures of himself in action at Stamford Bridge after today’s win.
He wrote: “London is RED.”
Saka and Jesus then replied to the Ghanaian underneath the post with very similar messages.
“What a player Babyjet,” Saka replied with a fire-emoji.
And Jesus replied: “What a player,” but with a heart-faced emoji instead.
Partey has been excellent for the Gunners once again this season and is a really important part of Mikel Arteta’s side.
The 29-year-old completely ran the show from midfield today and Arsenal look a far better outfit with him on the pitch.
Arteta will be hoping Partey can continue his brilliant form and avoid picking up any injuries.
Today’s win was a massive statement from Arsenal as they completely outclassed Graham Potter’s men away from home.
The Gunners are looking like genuine title contenders at this moment in time and moved back above Manchester City.
Arteta’s men will certainly be full of belief after their near-flawless start to the season and will be hoping to remain at the top of the table heading into the World Cup.
