‘What exactly is Ten Hag cooking?’- Man United have again entered the race to sign ‘aggressive’ defender Liverpool have already submitted a £30M bid for- Man united plans to hijack the player on his way to Liverpool- United to pay £40M
As per reports in France, Manchester United are ready to replace Raphael Varane by signing compatriot, Jean-Clair Todibo from Nice.
According to Foot Mercato, the Red Devils are ready to step in to secure the signing of the Les Bleus defender, who is also on the radar of Chelsea.
As per today’s version of Le Foot Magazine (news image provided below), everyday, Todibo gets a little closer to leaving Nice with top clubs interested in hiring his services.
He has a huge rating in England and it is stated that Man Utd, who once turned the player down after trials, would like him to replace veteran Varane at Old Trafford.
The 24-year-old’s current contract with the Ligue 1 side will expire in 2027 and he is valued at 60 million euros i.e. around £52m.
As per a recent story published by The Daily Mail, the 20-time English champions have decided not to trigger the extension option in Varane’s deal and therefore, the £340,000 a week star is expected to leave for free next summer.
The 30-year-old joined Manchester United after winning four Champions League titles with Real Madrid but he is well past his prime and his performances at Old Trafford have been highly inconsistent.
In the current campaign, so far, he has only started seven games in the Premier League under the management of Erik ten Hag.
Todibo has proved to be a hit in the French league with Nice and has already made two appearances for the senior national side.
In your opinion, should Man Utd sign Todibo to replace Varane at the club?
