Why always we!! Another Arsenal Star player picked up injury on international duty this night – player will now arrive in London tomorrow for medical checkup as he is set to miss Leeds Utd clash
Arsenal have been dealt a major injury blow after Kieran Tierney was forced off during Scotland’s epic clash with Spain.
The defender required medical treatment late in the second-half and was eventually replaced by Liam Copper on the 76th minute. KT has found game time hard to come by at the Gunners this season but was outstanding for Steve Clarke’s men during a famous night at Hampden.
Tierney embarked on a sensational run down the left-hand flank to set up Scott McTominay’s second on the 51st minute as the Scots took a 2-0 lead over Spain. However, it’s understood the former Celtic star sustained a calf knock which curtailed his evening for the Scots.
And that will be a big worry for Mikel Arteta as Arsenal chase their first Premier League title in almost two decades. The EPL leaders host Leeds United at the Emirates this Saturday but it’s highly unlikely Tierney will be available for selection.
Tierney hasn’t started a Premier League game since Boxing Day after losing his place to Oleksandr Zinchenko and it’s understood the 25-year-old is considering his options, with Newcastle United a possible destination.
