‘YOU’RE THE BOY’: Foster wowed by £24m Arsenal ‘demon’ after Bournemouth victory

Ben Foster has given Arsenal star his props after his outrageous save in the first half for Arsenal in their latest 3-2 win against Bournemouth.

As Phillip Billing played a ball inside the box to Dango Ouattara for a tap-in but the £24 million (Sky Sports) man’s cat-like reflexes came to the fore as he almost pounced on the ball and made one of the most ridiculous stops on the weekend.

Ben Foster, who is known to be quite close to Arsenal shotstopper Aaron Ramsdale was left stunned by this very save by him against Bournemouth.

Alvin Martin also complimented the England international for producing a truly ‘world-class’ moment while Gary O’Neil also went on to describe his display as ‘incredible.’

Ben Foster, who was famously a goalkeeper in the Premier League for a number of years himself gushed over how Aaron Ramsdale managed to keep Danga Ouattara’s attempt away against Bournemouth on his YouTube channel.

“Shout out to Rambo [Aaron Ramsdale] by the way! Massive save! You [Mark Goldbridge and Thogden] probably haven’t seen it because you won’t appreciate it like I did but he made a save…’oh, it was beautiful, lads.’

“They’ve cut the ball across, they’ve got 2 Bournemouth players coming…’just finish it lads, just finish it.’ He’s read it, he’s out there like a demon, blocked it! Oh, beautiful! They go on, win the game 3-2, Ramsdale, you’re the boy.”

THE RAMSDALE MASTERCLASS WENT UNDER THE RADAR

With Reiss Nelson’s strike having generated reactions from the entire world including Ian Wright and Mesut Ozil, it is understandable why his last-minute winner has remained the main topic of conversation.

But Ben Foster is right in also giving Aaron Ramsdale his due praise as if not for his incredible performance, Arsenal would likely have drawn or lost against Bournemouth.

The mark of a top goalkeeper is to rise to the occasion when called upon and he did that time and again on Saturday.
