‘NONSENSE’: Agbonlahor tears into Arsenal player for disrespecting his teammates
Gabby Agbonlahor has criticised Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli on talkSPORT for celebrating his goal against Aston Villa at Villa Park in the Premier League before scoring.
Arsenal got the better of Villa 4-2 away from home on Saturday afternoon.
The Gunners picked up the three points after scoring two late goals.
Brazil international winger Martinelli scored Arsenal’s fourth goal.
It came in the eighth minute of injury time.
It was a simple goal.
Martinelli did not start the match for Arsenal and came on as a substitute for Leandro Trossard midway through the second half.
Former Villa striker Agbonlahor was not impressed by Martinelli, and while saying that the 21-year-old winger has been “rubbish” for a month, he stated that the youngster was disrespectful to his teammates by celebrating his goal before scoring it.

Agbonlahor said: “I didn’t like Martinelli, for me, running through an empty net, and he is celebrating before he puts the ball in the net.
“He has been rubbish for a month, and he is scoring a tap-in and celebrating before he scores. Lack of respect for your teammates. I didn’t like it.”
BIZARRE
We do not agree with Gabby Agbonlahor’s opinion that Gabriel Martinelli was disrespecting his Arsenal teammates.
Not at all.
How?
The forward knew that he was going to score, and we think that his Arsenal teammates would have enjoyed him celebrating before he scored.
What about the Aston Villa players, you ask?
We doubt that they would taken it personally or felt disrespected, as they too knew that he was going to.
