Bacary Sagna has said that he would love for Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal to sign Sacha Boey from Galatasaray.
The former Arsenal right-back has said that Boey is amazing and wants the Gunners to bring the 22-year-old Frenchman to the Emirates Stadium in the summer transfer window.
Boey has actually been linked with Arsenal.
In March, Turkish outlet Aksam claimed that the 22-year-old is the Gunners’ top summer target
A few weeks later, Tuttomercatoweb reported that no club is as interested in Boey as Arsenal.
Bacary Sagna wants Sacha Boey at Arsenal
Sagna told SportingPost: “One player I really like is Sacha Boey, the right back at Galatasaray.
“I think he would fit Arsenal perfectly. As a right back myself, I have to say I think he is amazing, I’m sure he is in the minds of many clubs to sign.”
Our Verdict: Arsenal could do with Sacha Boey
In our view, it would not be a bad idea for Arsenal to sign another right-back in the summer transfer window.
Now, Ben White has done well at right-back this season, but the former Leeds United loanee is a centre-back by trade.
Takehiro Tomiyasu is also an option for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta at right-back
Now, the Japan international is a right-back by trade, but he has had injury problems and that White is ahead of him in the pecking order tells you a lot.
Boey is a very young player who would be a good addition to the Arsenal squad at the right price
The Frenchman has scored one goal and given three assists in 26 Turkish Super Lig matches for Galatasaray this season.
