BREAKING: ARSENAL HIJACK PLOT…more
Arsenal are said to be stepping up their bid to replace Leandro Trossard. The Gunners are expected to step up their transfer business over the next few weeks, with Mikel Arteta and Andrea Berta having very specific needs this summer.
The Gunners are already a very successful team, so the goal will be to upgrade in very specific areas rather than dabbling too much, and Arteta is expected to address the left-wing and number 8 roles. But with players leaving to find regular starts elsewhere, Arteta will also have gaps to plug, and Trossard has left one of those gaps after agreeing to join Besiktas for a fee of around £17million.
Fortunately for the Gunners, they already have a replacement lined up.

Arsenal will sign a starting left winger this summer, but they also want more competition on the left in the wake of Trossard’s departure, and according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Club Brugge’s Christos Tzolis is the chosen attacker.
Romano posted on X: “Christos Tzolis didn’t open to any other club approaching his camp: he wants Arsenal move. Club to club talks soon with Club Brugge as Tzolis has always been seen as ideal candidate to replace Trossard.”
Brugge are reportedly asking for £35million to sign their star winger, who is still only 24 years of age. Tzolis has scored 17 and assisted 18 in 54 games in the Jupiler Pro League, and that has come after he scored 22 and assisted seven in 30 2.Bundesliga games for loan club Dusseldorf.
Tzolis also has Premier League and Championship experience as a youngster due to spending time with Norwich City.

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has already given his blessing to a move for Tzolis. He said of the winger: I will have to be honest, Christos Tzolis is explosive, I watched him closely last season, he is the main outlet for Club Brugge. He is that kind of winger who is not afraid to take on defenders and he loves scoring. Him in Arsenal team will be explosive”
Tzolis was asked about a possible Club Brugge departure earlier this summer. He said: “There will be interest, but I feel good here. It would have to be a Champions League team from England, Germany, Spain or Italy. If Paris Saint-Germain came to ask for me, I would definitely consider leaving. But in France, only Paris is a better option than Club Brugge.”
