Arsenal are making a fresh move to sign Juventus winger Kenan Yildiz, but their efforts are likely to go in vain, according to TuttoJuve.
The Gunners were preparing an ambitious proposal to land Vinicius Junior this month, but the Brazilian decided to extend his Real Madrid contract.
Arsenal are exploring a proper alternative, and it has recently emerged that the club could return for Yildiz despite Juventus ruling out his departure.
TuttoJuve now reveal that the Gunners are making another move for the Turkish ace, but Juventus remain adamant that the 21-year-old is going nowhere.
The Bianconeri snubbed an enquiry from Arsenal earlier in June, and they continue to view the young winger as an integral part of their plans next term.
Arsenal seem unlikely to prise Yildiz away from Juventus
Yildiz primarily played from the left wing for the Bianconeri last season. He had a solid campaign with 11 goals and 10 assists (21 goal contributions) in 47 matches.
The Turk averaged more than two dribbles per game in Serie A. He created 15 big chances in the division, which was only bettered by two players over the campaign.
Yildiz is probably the closest with the potential to match Vinicius. He has yet to find consistency in his goalscoring, but should do so with more experience under his belt.
Arsenal could be prepared to spend big for his services. The winger was valued at £85 million last year before he put pen to paper on a fresh four-year deal at Juventus.
Based on the inflated transfer prices this summer, Yildiz could easily be considered a £100m winger, but the Bianconeri have a firm stance that he won’t be sold.
Juventus’ majority shareholder John Elkann personally intervened to block Yildiz’s departure when Arsenal approached last time around, and that stance seems unlikely to change.
The Bianconeri are facing substantial losses after their failure to qualify for the Champions League. It remains to be seen whether Arsenal test their resolve with a huge offer.
