Arsenal are exploring a sensational move to sign Vinicius Jr from Real Madrid.
The Premier League champions are eager to bolster their squad this summer after ending their 22-year wait for a league triumph.
The club have confirmed a deal for Greek winger Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge, their first piece of business in what could be a pivotal summer in north London.
But the club are also looking at an ambitious move to bring Brazil star Vinicius to the capital if he does not extend his contract with Real.
He has 12 months left on his current deal in the Spanish capital and so far there has been no breakthrough in talks over a new contract.
There have been no direct talks between Arsenal and Real Madrid at this stage but The Athletic report the idea has been ‘approved at all levels’ within Arsenal.
Vinicius Jr joined Real from Flamengo after turning 18 in 2018, growing into one of the best players on the planet in the Spanish capital. He has made 375 total appearances for Los Blancos, registering 128 goals and 100 assists.
Arsenal are interested in a number of attacking options this summer with Julian Alvarez regarded as a dream target.
Atletico Madrid do not want to sell but if left with no other alternative, are more willing to do business with the Gunners than Barcelona who have riled Atleti up with their public pursuit of their striker this summer.
Arsenal are also admirers of Bournemouth star Junior Kroupi.
In midfield, the champions are eager to sign Bruno Guimarães from Newcastle United and are ready to make a £70million offer for the Brazilian.
Guimaraes is keen to make the move down the capital although reports suggest Newcastle have no intention of selling.
