Here we go – Aurelien Tchouameni to Arsenal set to be completed soon
Arsenal’s great midfield rework of summer 2023 is underway as Mikel Arteta looks to revamp and remodel his central ranks in the transfer window. There’s the possibility of exits as Granit Xhaka has already made a move to Bayer Leverkusen, while football.london understands Thomas Partey could leave if a suitable offer is received.
Work has been done to ensure that replacements are found as Kai Havertz joined on a £65million fee from Chelsea, with Arteta hinting at a role in the midfield for the 24-year-old. Declan Rice looks set to follow, with a deal agreed over a club-record £105million transfer.
There could still be another addition in the deeper midfield position though, with Southampton’s Romeo Lavia linked with a potential switch. The Belgian youngster isn’t the only one on the radar though as recent reports have also stated Arsenal’s interest in Real Madrid starlet Aurelien Tchouameni.
With that said, here’s a look at the latest updates on the France international’s potential move to the Emirates Stadium this summer.
Transfer boost
Arsenal have been handed a huge boost in the race to sign Aurelien Tchouameni this summer as Real Madrid are claimed to be open to offers for the midfielder. The France international could be an option for the north London outfit this summer as Marca reports that the youngster could be sold this summer to fund Real’s potential move for Kylian Mbappe – who is a target and could be set to leave PSG this summer.
Tchouameni is claimed to be available for between £68million and £85million, breaking even on the overall transfer.
Arsenal interest
Arsenal are interested in a move for Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni this summer, according to reports from Spanish outlet Defensa Central. The Gunners have been prepared to offer £68million as their initial offer for the France international, but have upped that to £77million.
