BREAKING NEWS: He’s in the best form of His career,If Arteta decides to let Him leave by the summer then I’ll surely join the ‘ARTETA OUT’ chant”, Rio Ferdinand reveals the ONE Arsenal player that is proving Himself lately
Man United legend Rio Ferdinand has trolled Tottenham with his reaction to Leandro Trossard’s goal in the North London Derby.
The Gunners were desperate to claim a win against their old rivals, with three points, a bit of momentum and bragging rights all up for grabs.
While the performance was there early on for Mikel Arteta, all that was missing was a goal to open the scoring.
That went the way of Heung-Min Son, who put Spurs in the lead through a free hit at the edge of the box.
Fortunately, Arsenal managed to work their way back into it as a Dominic Solanke own goal was added to by a Leandro Trossard strike.
Sol Campbell reacts to Leandro Trossard goal in Arsenal vs Tottenham
One man who crossed the divide between Tottenham and Arsenal was Sol Campbell, having made the infamous transfer in 2001.
The North London Derby has been a fixture that often brings up the centre-back, who is loved by one fanbase and hated by the other.
Campbell recently risked the anger of Tottenham fans with an advert where he joked about making a big move and not regretting it.
He may annoy the Spurs faithful again when he reacted to Trossard’s strike that put Arsenal into the lead in the first half.
The former defender posted a gif of himself with the word “Outrageous” plastered on it in reaction to the strike.
Even all these years on, Campbell is still a sore point for those of a Tottenham persuasion and a real bright point for Arsenal.
Leandro Trossard goal must kickstart scoring run
So far this season, Leandro Trossard hasn’t quite had the impact many would’ve hoped he could in the Arsenal side.
The forward has previously impressed when coming from the bench but given the increased game time with injuries, his lack of impact would’ve been a disappointment.
That clinical edge that became associated with the Belgian hasn’t quite continued this season in the Premier League.
